Jubilee Field is owned and managed by the Parish Council. It is located off Bridge Street and is accessible on foot, from behind the village car park. Other access points are at the high end, by the rail bridge and between the flats and houses - this last area contains the barrier entrance for vehicles. There is also excess parking, for sport teams only, off the car park. The field runs alongside the River Nene and is classed as being in a flood zone. The field is registered as a Field in Trust.
The sports field contains a full sized football pitch which is looked after by the Weedon Football Club along with some play equipment, aimed at the older child. This includes larger swings, a basketball court, a pendulum swing, a zip wire, a spinner and a large hill slide. There is also a BMX type track from the top of the hill along the hedge line. There are several benches dotted around the field as well as bins at the entrances.
The field also has two containers, owned by the WFC which contains their equipment.
The Changing rooms, situated on the car park, were installed, owned and managed by Weedon Sports Association.
The field is mown regularly during the season both by the Parish Council contractor and WFC mow the pitch area. Inspections on all the equipment take place monthly by the Parish Councillors and quarterly/annually by an independent contractor (currently Wicksteed playgrounds).
There are bylaws which apply to the area which consist of No golf, no horse riding or the driving of motor cycles/motor vehicles - without prior approval - applicable signage is erected around the site.
Dog owners are allowed with dogs off the lead as long as they are controllable and well behaved. Please put your dog on the lead if asked by someone. All dog mess will be picked up by the owners, any witnessed non collection of dog mess will be prosecuted.
Litter and dog bins are within the field and emptied weekly. The village litter picker is present at least three times in a week.
